I’m (21F) in love with my boyfriend (22M) of 1.5 years; he’s my best friend and when we are getting along well, everything is so perfect. We support each other and he can always make me laugh. I’ve never had reason to suspect he’d cheat on me...he’s so sweet and couldn’t hurt a fly. We both have many friends of the opposite sex and there’s never been a problem with that, or with jealousy. Well...an odd message from one of these “friends” prompted me to ask BF if I could look back thru the convo, having a feeling something was up. With his permission and assurance I wouldn’t find anything, I found three instances of him sending her this meme (while we were dating) of a YuGiOh card that says “1 free booty pic”. And this girl, who knows we’ve been dating, sent him a nude. And the ensuing conversation, while not sexting, was flirty. The thing is—I don’t even know if this is cheating. He says the first time it was a joke, the second time he wanted to see what would happen, but he never wanted to have sex with her. He made out with her a month before we met, but nothing has happened since. They send memes to each other every single day and chat, but it’s all platonic except for the nudes (the last instance was a few months ago). Is this cheating? What should I do? I’m shocked that he crossed a line and never said anything to me because it’s so out of character. I don’t know what to do.
TL;DR: my boyfriend solicited nudes from a friend and I don’t know how to feel.
