My boyfriend just told a girl to go kill herself on xbox live. I feel sick to my stomach, what do I do? [20 M and 22 F]

I was playing on his Xbox and a girl messaged me after a match "gg" and he responded "go kill yourself" from his tablet. Idk how he even messaged her back. I immediately started crying because she responded that she's been bullied all her life and struggles with depression. I do too. I can't even look at him right now. I don't tolerate cyberbullying of any kind.

She said that she was just trying to be nice, but my boyfriend's defense is that "he is sick of people saying gg sarcastically." She wasn't being sarcastic. Even if she was, it would be no excuse. I felt so bad and empathized with her while explaining it wasn't me who said to go kill herself. I was just playing on my boyfriend's Xbox.

I'm supposed to be going up to my parents' house tomorrow for thanksgiving break but I'm debating going alone. Is this too much of an overreaction on my part? We've been together since September 2017 btw. He's never said anything like this to anyone before.

I'm currently in our bedroom distancing myself right now. I informed him that he can play the Xbox and I was going to take a break and not to bother me. He apologized to me, and the girl, but I haven't accepted it yet.
