TL;DR: A youth leader at my church told my job that I "became inappropriate" with her when I attended high school as I'm trying to move out, and I'm currently under investigation at my job and unable to work as dad said it happened because "I burned bridges by not going to church"
I won't waste your time with too much of the backstory, but I will try to add enough to paint a picture of them. I'm currently in school working on my bachelor's, but I wasn't able to move out at 18 due to covid after the place I was looking into withdrew their offerings due to the nature of everything. My parents are both leaders in their church, and we had many arguments over the years dating back to my preteen years. I was never bullied in public school, but I was bullied in Sunday school and youth group for years. Despite many incidents, I was still forced to go, and my youth leaders also made fun of me too for things I posted online or because of how quiet I was. I've also been punched on a few occasions by a particular person when I was younger, but that never got me out of going because mom said that that would be "unmanly" among other things
I could say more, but I'll stop there. I was able to land a job a few months after starting college, and I was recently close to moving out again until what happened with my church. Long story short, my parents told me that I'm "making them look bad" for not going to church and that they disagreed with me moving out too. They also tried to make me talk to someone at church, but when I wasn't interested, they went after my job, and here's what I mean. A leader from my youth group recently came out and said that I tried to be inappropriate with her after one of our meetings when we were apparently alone, and she is just a few years older than me and also happens to be the daughter of one of the pastors. She also contacted my job which resulted in me being talked to and told that I'm being put under investigation, and when I talked to my parents, they said that other people at the church believed her too despite her accusation being a few years old
When I asked if they believed them, they said that I had "turned against everyone there" and that I had "also burned bridges" by not attending, and I have not been able to work the past few days as a result of the investigation, and I'm worried about losing my job. I'm currently trying to look into a lawyer for myself, but I wanted to ask for anything else I could do in the meantime since I have no income and my parents don't believe me, and I'm afraid that this will ruin my career or any job if a "few people" at church believe her as dad said despite her claims being false. It's already cost me hours at my job right now, and I really need advice in the meantime until I get a lawyer
