How do I [30s/m] handle the conversation of why I didn't use my neighbor and realtor [30s/f] to sell our house?

My wife and I just sold our home as a 'for sale by owner' and I think our neighbor/friend/realtor feels snubbed that we did not use her. I get the feeling that she always assumed it would be her listing when we sold, but the truth is that we live in a great market and I do not personally see the value in giving a realtor 3% to list. I respect my friend and her career, but I believe that the realtor commission model is a bit out of touch with the market today. Obviously I would never tell her this, but we listed our house for $99 and sold it in one open house weekend, which saved us like $15,000 in realtor fees.

To make matters worse between us, we only offered 2% to the buyer's agent. My neighbor definitely seemed a little off when we told her that we were listing the house ourselves. And then the other day she shot me a text saying she might have an interested client and wanted to confirm that the 2% to the buyer's agent was correct, and then never responded when I confirmed that.

We have always enjoyed being friends with her/her husband, but I fear that we might have killed this friendship by not listing our house with her. Then again, maybe it wasn't a great friendship if it could be killed by not using her as an agent. Regardless, I'm wondering if anyone with better interpersonal skills than I might have some suggestions on how to navigate a conversation with her and try to preserve things going forward.

tl;dr: Sold our house 'fsbo', did not use our friend/neighbor/realtor to list it and now she's gone silent.
