My (34f) husband (39m) wants me to deal with the garbage because he doesn’t want to clean up after my brother (23m)

TLDR: husband wants me to take out the garbage because my brother threw in something in there. This is weird right?

My brother and his gf were over yesterday and they brought McDonald’s with them for their lunch. My husband told me today he wants me to deal with the garbage because he doesn’t want to clean up after my brother.

The garbage has one McDonald’s brown bag that my brother threw in there. Doing garbage is my husband’s usual chore.

I’ll do it of course. But I think this is really strange.

My brother and I are really close and he absolutely adores our 17-month old baby girl. As far as I can tell my brother and husband get along fine. They had a nice chat about computer parts and table-top games. He was the one who actually suggested they come over this weekend to visit.

I feel like something else is going on here maybe and it’s not really about garbage. But I know my husband will say I’m making too big a deal of it.
