My Girlfriend won’t let me see my lifelong friend because I had a crush on her 4 years ago. (Never kissed)

Am I gonna lose my girlfriend over this? And what can I do to fix this?

So my friend is coming to visit from Maine (20F). I haven’t seen her in 2 years and we only ever talk on birthdays. So I told my girlfriend (19 F) and she was all okay with it. I told her to come with so that they can meet and she said she wasn’t doing anything that day so it all worked out. The next morning me and my friend make more concrete plans to meet that day and I tell my girlfriend. She gets very angry that I told her last minute and wasn’t including her on any of the plans. She was mad because I wasn’t consulting her first to make sure the plans worked out but instead I was asking my friend what worked for her. This ultimately turned into a big fight because she hates that I had a crush on her 4 years ago (we never even kissed) and said that I need to move on and not go see her because I’m not taking her feelings into consideration. I felt horrible, I was put in a position where I had to either choose my lifelong friend or girlfriend. I don’t want one little crush I had years ago be the reason we break up but it’s feeling that way. Am I the asshole here? I don’t know what to do.

I had a crush on my friend 4 years ago that never amounted to anything. She’s coming to our friends here after not seeing each other in 2 years. My girlfriend does not like that I had a crush on her and doesn’t want me to go at the last minute.
