Me 30F 36 weeks pregnant with husband 34M of 3 years. I downloaded a game that simulates a popular dating show and he told me he thinks its cheating.

Alright, throwaway, because this is literally the dumbest thing ever. But I also love and respect my husband and dont want to misunderstand a perspective.

Background: husband was previously married for 5 years and ex wife cheated. My husband and I have a great relationship. I am 36 weeks pregnant and am on bedrest until delivery. We are both stoked for baby.

Anyways, I'm bored AS HECK while my husband is at work. I am literally bound to bed and the toilet. There is a popular dating show in our country (no I'm not going to say what) and it is trash. But my husband and I eat it up and watch it when it's on. But I'm sure it's easy to guess.

Recently I discovered that there is an app for the show. Where you create an avatar and the app has a pretty linear storyline, like you are in the show and you can only couple up with a few people from the villa and it's silly and trash and entertaining. There is even a whole subreddit for it and I've seen several people talk about how they have real life partners too and husbands/partners who play the game because they also love the show. Every person and relationship is different, but I just thought it was innocent fun.

I told my husband about it and he laughed. I basically have made my character to be the ultimate trash who is just going around with everyone. Completely opposite of me. I told my husband the wreck I was causing in the villa and he laughed.

To clarify, this is not a game with real people that you chat to. It is VIRTUAL bots. I was later playing it and showed him a dialogue of drama that was happening and laughing, since we had also watched the show earlier. He also said "better finish that before the baby comes since you'll be busy!" Before I showed him this dialogue.

He was like you do realize that is cheating on me right? I was a little taken aback and he said

"Please tell me you arent that inept?"

And I explained to him that these arent actual other online characters I'm playing with, but if he feels that way I will absolutely delete the app and stick to animal crossing and runescape.

It didnt turn into a big argument and we just moved on (so far). And I truly dont believe he feels I was actually cheating, but more just being dumb.

But I REALLY want to understand my husbands perspective because I am lost. In my mind i was causing virtual havoc on a game full of bots and a linear story line (which i explained to him).

tl;dr downloaded an app simulating a dating show my husband and I love. The game is bots, not real people. Husband considers it cheating.
