I [25/F] worry that my boyfriend [30/M] will cheat on me with a prostitute when he goes away for a week without me... Am I being paranoid or is there real reason to be concerned?

My boyfriend is here living in the US and he is from Mexico. When he was 20-24, he told me that he had sex with prostitutes in Mexico about 5 times. I think this may be more common in Mexico than in the US, because strip clubs in Mexico are basically brothels, as he said.

He likes to travel a lot, and he has gone on “big” trips by himself before. Back in February, before he and I were officially “in a relationship”, he went to France for a week. When I was using his computer, I saw on his search history that he had looked up prostitutes in France and looked through their pictures. I wasn’t snooping when I found this. I don’t know if he went through with it or not. I asked him if he had sex with a prostitute there and of course he said no. He has expressed to me on a few different occasions that he worries he is a “sex addict”- him and I have a great sex life so I am really not sure if this means he’s excessively wants sex with me or with other people or what.?!!!...

My boyfriend has another trip back to Mexico in September and another trip to another country (maybe France again, still undecided), in February. I may or may not go in the February one. I am nervous because frankly- The fact that he claims he may be a sex addict and the fact that I won’t be seeing him for about a week in both these scenarios makes me feel like maybe he would have sex with a prostitute. I have pretty much no way of knowing.

I don’t know if my suspicions and doubts are based in my own insecurities or if there is really enough evidence to conclude here that he is a high risk of cheating with a prostitute.

TLDR; based on what I told you, what would you do? Am I overreacting ?
