Hi all.
I have been with Tom for the past eight months. Due to the age gap, my friends deeply disapprove of this and have more than once tried to convince me to break up with him.
I went out with a group of them on Christmas Eve and it was great to start with. However, when we went into another place a guy I recognised came up to us. His name is Chris and he's friend with Katie, one of my friends. I met him through her once before, on a night out before me and Tom got together. I thought he was extremely attractive but he came across as creepy, trying to hug me and touch me when I'd only known him for a minute. Katie was with me on the night and earlier had been voicing her disapproval of my relationship with Tom.
When Chris came up to us I gave Katie a look to show how uncomfortable I was (I'd told her before how creepy her friend was). He put his arm around me and asked me if I was still single. Before I could answer Katie said ''Yeah, she is!''. I was fuming, knocked Chris's hand away and stormed out. I went straight home and cried. I spent Christmas with Tom and his family but haven't told him what happened. I also ignored Katie's messages.
How could my friend of five years do that to me? She knows how committed I am to Tom, and she knows how creepy her friend (who she fancies even though she has a boyfriend) is towards me, yet she tries to set me with him, and lies to him that I have a boyfriend.
Should I tell Tom? At the end of the day nothing happened, but does he deserve to know either way? Also, should I end my friendship with Katie?
TL:DR: My friend, who is aware that I am in a relationship, tried to set me up with someone who she is fully aware I'm very creeped out by.
