My dad's partner and my dad recently got engaged, and I'm thinking of asking her to adopt me. However, I'm worried that she'll be uncomfortable and/or say no.
I've planned out how I'll ask her and have put the adoption papers in a box that I've wrapped as a present. I never had a mom before and she's the only one of his girlfriends that has stuck around for this long.
How can I make sure this goes smoothly and that she says yes?
