My partner [27 F] always gives me [30 M] her ID and credit card when we are out. There are times when I forget to give them back to her. Who is at fault?

I don't know if this is the proper place to post but I want help settling this. My gf [27 F] is very forgetful and losing things all the time. She will leave things like her phone places and I typically notice and grab them for her. When we are out, she leaves her ID and credit card in my wallet so she won't lose them.

However, multiple times, the next day when she is at the store, she realizes she doesn't have the cards and gets upset. I should remember to give them back to her but I also think I shouldn't have to be responsible for her stuff all the time either. Who is at fault here?

TL;DR I forget to give back my girlfriend's credit card after I hold it for her, am I at fault?
