My roommate seems to have stomach problems on a regular basis, and I don't know whether to talk to her about it. The first time it happened, I thought it was a once-off stomach bug or something and she seemed pretty embarrassed so I thought it best to ignore it and act like I didn't notice, but now that it's obvious it's a regular occurrence I don't know whether to say something or not.
I just want her to know I'm here to help if there's anything I can do, or at the very least that I'm not like judging her for something she obviously can't control - her stomach makes really loud noises for a day or two when this is happening, and she seems to have kind of a hard time holding in farts and I'm worried she thinks I'm mad at her or something for farting around the house but it's really super clear that it's not intentional and it literally only happens for a few days every five or six weeks. She spends more time in her room when it's happening than she normally does when we're both around the house, and I don't want her to feel like she has to hide from me when she's sick, it's not like it's something contagious whatever it is.
I'm not sure how to approach this because I don't want to embarrass her more by bringing it up, and there could be other reasons she hasn't talked to me about it already. I just want her to feel at home in our place and I want to help if I can at all. Should I talk to her about it? And how should I approach her about this?
tl;dr - My roommate has some kind of stomach issue that makes her fart a lot for like 48 hours every now and then, idk how to approach her about this to make her not feel embarrassed
