My (21F) ex (24M) threatens me with my nudes/videos, it will only get worse once he find out i’m talking to someone else. The guy i currently talk to doesn’t know anything about this situation.

I have been broken up with my ex for about 1.5 years now. We were together for 3 years. Ever since then, we have been on and off (talking). Since the beginning he has always threatened me with my nudes or videos of us getting hot and heated whenever he gets mad, me being the stupid loves truck teenager, i always forgave him when he apologized and said he would never actually go through with it. We are no longer on speaking terms and i have him blocked on social media, and changed my number as well. I’ve been talking to this guy and we have been hitting it off really well! He’s very traditional, we are arabs, and would completely stop talking to me if he finds out. What scares me is that if (when) my ex finds out i’m talking to someone new, he will completely flip out. I know he will threaten me, try to get in touch with my family, and possibly expose me. I come from a very strict and religious family so you can’t even imagine how that will turn out. What should i do? Do i stop talking to this new guy and completely end things with him? There’s no possible way i can tell him about my past. Do i continue with him and hope for the best? I’m so lost and just need some guidance and advice. Honestly, anything would help at this point.

Tldr; My ex has nudes and videos of use together and threatens me with them. If the new guy i’m talking to finds out, he will end things between us. What do i do?
