tl:dr He (24m) says I (24f) live beyond my means based on one situation which is buying more expensive meal while being sick

This week I have been sick, but I wanted to eat something normal to get some strength, but I didn't have enough strength to do it (irony) and didn't feel well. So I had to order UberEats, but because I rent a room, so I only order for myself so you know how it is you have to order something more expensive than you really need so you can place an order and they deliver it for you (you know you have to order something over 30 or sometime 50 lets say units). So for one person it's getting expensive and I usually do not do it, I usually order for smaller amount and pick it up myself if I want something from restaurant. And as I said I was sick, so I had to choose the more expensive one option, so in the end I ended up paying 38 units (30 dinner, and rest for delivery). And it was fine, I am rarely sick so it was one time.

But my boyfriend thinks and tells me that I live beyond my means. So what that I am almost always cooking for myself, but I LIVE BEYOND MY MEANS, just because that one order. And I am telling him that is because they wouldn't deliver me and I was not feeling well that day to pick up the food myself. So he says that is not an excuse, and why using excuses for this situation. So I told him (with his logic) that he also lives beyond his means when he orders dinner to work with colleagues, his excuse was that it is cheaper than mine because he only pays 20 units (yea because 20 + 20 + 20 +... is more than 30 for example so it is easier to place an order).

It is so frustrating for me being judged by one situation. I don't know why he doesn't understand or doesn't want to understand.

I really needed to write this because after this talk I wanted to cry but also destroy something.
