My [also 20F] friend’s bf is in the ICU on life support in the hospital near me. I’m letting her stay with me so she can see him. One person said he’s brain dead but neither of us know the full story yet. How can I be there for her the best during this time.

I feel so bad for her. He was doing fine a few days ago. Basically he collapsed and was helicoptered to the hospital which happens to be near my house. I don’t know the full story and best case scenario he makes a full recovery but everyone is saying conflicting things.

I offered her to stay at my house however long she needs to which she said she appreciates but I also want to support her while she’s here and after she leaves which idk when that will be since I don’t know what is happening to the bf yet. She’s coming to visit him tonight then my house after and I just want to be there for her however possible. If any of you have suffered grief, what has helped you the most from a friend?

Tl;dr: how can i best support a grieving friend while she stays at my house
