My [17M] Girlfriend's [17F] mom [late-30sF] is mad I didnt work on her car for free and I'm not sure how to handle it

So my girlfriends mom is, in my opinion, lets just say not a great parent, I have firsthand seen and heard her be verbally abusive and manipulative, so I try not to be around her very much. Now, I'm a mechanic, I've been working in my dad's shop as a tech for 2 years and I'm pretty good at what I do. Her moms car had some problems so we brought it in and we did a diagnosis FOR FREE and said that she needed a new alternator. About a month later she asked when she could bring it in, we're pretty booked out and shes busy so I offered to do it this past monday bc we had no appointments bc my dad was going to be out of town, and I'm perfectly qualified to do an alternator.

I worked up a quote for the alternator and told my gf the cost who told her mom who didnt seem to have a problem with it, she brought the car in and I fixed the alternator, then after she paid, she got mad at my gf and said that she never told her how much it would cost even though there are screenshots proving this accusation false, and then said that she was mad that I charged her for any labor, bc according to her I should have done the job for free, and that she was mad my dad wasnt there(she knew he was out of town when she agreed to monday) bc APPARENTLY I "dont know what I'm doing" a statement which insulted me even more than her expecting me to work for free.

I'm just so baffled and mad about this. How can you expect me to do work for free, let alone on a would be day off? If you cant fucking do the work yourself you gotta pay someone else to do it thats how shit works. I was offended by her expecting it to be free bc 1. why tf would it be free? 2. that implies that my work isnt valuable, and I'm really mad about her saying I'm not qualified bc if shes so confident in how I shouldve done MY JOB why didnt she do it herself, but also the fact that I've worked my ass off for two years to get here, EVERY DAY AFTER SCHOOL and ALL DAY EVERY DAY on breaks and vacations and for her to say that I dont know how to do something this simple, when i did the job perfectly, is very offensive imo. I told my girlfriend if her mom really had that big of a problem she could call me which she has yet to do. I just dont understand how you can expect people who dont even like you, to just do shit for you for free bc you happen to vaguely know them it doesnt make sense to me.

TLDR: girlfriends mom is pissed i charged her for replacing her alternator, insulted my work ability, and claims she didnt know the price beforehand but screenshots prove she did
