my [25F] partner [25M] keeps ignoring my media suggestions ... only to watch them with someone else.

I know, this sounds stupid, but hear me out.

I can only stand to watch so much tv/movies in a day, and the TV/movies i am usually interested in, my partner isn't. So this ends up with me watching a lot of media that i find "OK", but aren't things i really enjoy.

But sometimes I stumble across movies/tv that i think both my partner and myself would enjoy. very rarely the suggestion is taken on board, but more likely, i'm told that they "dont know" and they'll "think about it." I'll ask about watching it for a few days, and then I'll give up.

if this issue ended here, i'd put up with it.

But so many times a month or two after i suggested something, he'll get home and be like "oh my friend suggested we watch x together, and we did, and it was great." .... with X being the thing i tried to get them to watch.

It frustrates me to no end. I have tried to address it, but the explanations feel kinda shitty "oh, i didn't feel like it when you suggested it." " oh, i wouldn't normally watch it, but it was at their house and they really wanted to see it."

and at this point, i'm not sure what to say?

**tl;dr** partner refuses to watch media i like, but watches it with others.
