My (F 21) boyfriend (M 23) and I are having issues regarding how I dress. I have always had a unique sense of style, and he knew that during the beginning of our relationship. It's not a particularly scandalous style or anything, but he continuously makes joking remarks about it. He describes my style as "50's union worker", whereas I see it as classic and semi-formal. It mostly consists of corduroy, large thrifted men's dress shirts (tied up to add a feminine element), and wool or cotton slacks and boat shoes. It may be unconventional for a young woman, but I like it. However, these comments are becoming more frequent and taking a toll on our relationship. He says it's "a turnoff", and that he "doesn't want to date Bob from the office". This understandably hurts me and makes me feel unattractive.
What are your thoughts on this, am I or is he in the wrong?
TL;DR - BF doesn't like the way I dress because he thinks it's weird - I'm upset
