What would be a polite way for me (30m) to tell my family I have no intention of dating or providing them another grandkid anytime soon?
My parents and on occasion my siblings bring up the question " when are you going to give us another grandbaby/niece/nephew?". I have in in the past told them that as a man I require a second party to be involved. That got them to knock it off for a while but the question keeps coming back.
For reference I have been single for the last... christ going on 5 years now since my ex and me split. I have spent that time raising our son, helping friends and working. My life isn't the greatest but I wont lie by saying I'm unhappy. I'm content with being a dad and I wouldn't want to risk my little slice of happiness by dating. To be quite frank, I can't even imagine myself in a relationship anymore. Which has led to me awkwardly skipping out of a few blind dates my sisters tried to hamstring me into.
What's a tactful way of telling my family "my love life or lack there of is none of their damn business"? Also thank you if you bothered to read this.
TL;DR family keeps asking when I will have another kid. I'm single with no intention of dating. Want to know a polite way to tell them to quit asking about my love life.
