My girlfriend is a generally stubborn girl, but she is very sweet to me and attractive. This is the first person I told I love. She is wanting a life with me, but she recently moved states but I came and visited her over summer. I’m back in my home state but she really wants to join the navy for a 4 year term, but insists I come with. INSISTS. I have considered the navy but I have different paths I think I would like to take such as business and things like that. If I ask her for other options or look at another thing we could do, she sighs and guilt trips me for not fully being on board. The only thing is if I don’t commit to moving out to her state we will break up. It is a very difficult dynamic due to it being a long distance, stubborn GF, and I may have to go my separate way but idk if I can do it.
TLDR Long distance gf (3 months real life 3 months long distance) wants me to join navy for 4 years and I don’t completely feel like that’s what I want to do right after highschool.
EDIT: Thanks for the input guys, finally build courage to talk to my mom about it and she agrees with you guys. Just mentally scheduling a time to bring it up to her, ill let you guys know how it goes. ALSO: Don’t be afraid to keep giving advice, it is all very helpful and I read it all.
