My [22M] girlfriend [22F] of two months snooped on her sisters phone and it makes me feel uneasy about our relationship going forward

So my girlfriend and her sister, both twins that live at home with their parents, have been going through a rough patch lately. My girlfriend snooped on her phone because her sister confronted my girlfriend about the fact that theyve been drifting. The details arent super relevant, but this ended up with my girlfriend snooping through her phone to find that she had texted her friend about the situation and said she had "more observations" on my girlfriend. Nothing really that bad. My girlfriend told me this and I kind of laughed it off but didnt entertain it as something I was proud of her for.

Anyway, tonight gf asked me if there was anything that was bothering me about her because I've been known to sweep things under the rug and move on because I dont like confrontation. I said that I didn't like the fact that she snooped on her sosters phone and she got really defensive. She didn't try to justify her actions perse, but I did voice my concerns that it means she has trust issues in her relationship with her sister, and that even though she doesnt have trust issues with me now, it means that if we ever did, she would snoop on my phone. She again doubled down after me explaining why snooping was wrong and she said she didnt see anything wrong with it and that she would "probably do it again".

At this point im sensing a pretty big red flag in such a new relationship. Do I try to make her see the light about why snooping is bad? How could I even do that? Or is this relationship doomed?

Tl:dr, girlfriend snooped on her sisters phone and it makes me feel worried about our relationship. Where do I go from here?
