I’m an 18 yo dude and both my parents are 58 years old.
I always felt different from the family and even though I was and still am being showered with lots of love from my parents and my family, I always had a doubt that I was adopted (had a doubt since I was 14)
One reason because I was born in India, while the rest of the family isn’t born in India apart from my Grandmother who is 82 years old. (We’re an Indian family, but I’m the only one out of my 8 other cousins to be born elsewhere)
My mum told me she gave birth to me while she was travelling to India, but I always found that hard to believe.
Also the fact that I don’t look like my parents at any stage of my life, neither young, when I was 16 and even now.
The difficult thing is that I’m definitely from Indian descent and my entire family is Indian, so in some sense it’s kinda hard to tell if I’m really their biological son or not.
How do I ask my parents if I’m adopted without giving them a shock / heart Attack ?
TLDR: Have been feeling that I’m adopted because I don’t look like my parents and feel very different from the family. I’m the only one to be born in India, whereas the rest of my family are not.
