I don't really know what to do. My boyfriend of 5 years brought up marriage and we've always talked about it and having a life together but when it became something he was planning on doing (proposing to me) soon my stomach dropped and I was scared. I love him and really do see myself with him for a lifetime but I feel so young and really not ready for that kind of commitment. I know others have felt the same way. The realism of it is scary and I've talk to him about it which only confuses him and makes the whole situation a lot worse. There's so many marriages around me that just don't work or they hate each other. I'm committed to my boyfriend and the rest of my life with him sounds amazing. But none of those terrible marriages started out with hate and I never want my relationship to be something so awful and terrible to be apart of
We've had problems like any other couple but have always been able to overcome them. We're so supportive of each other and always want to try to new things. I want to be around him all the time and I just love him. And this is so disheartening to think my body is telling me otherwise.
